Hunting- Our County offers a number of small and large game species, whitetail deer, turkey, partridge, squirrel and many more. Fishing- The opportunities are endless in the many lakes and rivers throughout the county. To find additional information on the rivers, lakes and public access you can contact DNR at Harrison Operations Center. You will never be disappointed with a day spent on the water in Clare County.
MMCC Trail Systems- Mid Michigan Community College’s Harrison Campus sits on 560 acres of beautiful, wooded land. The college opens their trail system to the community to the public to enjoy. You can get additional information and maps at www.midmich.edu/
ORV and Snowmobile Trails- The county offers extensive Off Road Vehicle trails. The Michigan DNR manages 55 mile of ORV trails for larger ORV’s and hundreds of miles of trail that can be accessed by quads or small traditional ORV’s. Snowmobile trails have not been left out, Clare County the Fur Farm snowmobile trail which starts just north of the city of Harrison and joins up with the Leota Trail.
