Pedal Across Lower Michigan
PALM is a non-profit group of volunteers dedicated to teaching people the joy of bicycle touring, emphasizing safety, and showcasing the beauty of lower Michigan.
The ride begins at Lake Michigan and continues for six days, averaging 50 miles per day, until reaching Lake Huron or Lake Erie.
Along the way, you will enjoy farmland scenes and smooth cycling along quiet rural paved roads. Routes are clearly marked and provide minimal challenge, making this a tour for all ages. Optional additional mileage in available.
Entertaining Evenings.
After you roll into camp (usually a school) pick up your gear and find a spot for your tent, you can shower, enjoy a cafeteria-style supper or visit a nearby town for shopping, dessert, or entertainment! Or just relax and enjoy the amenities on-site which may include basketball, volleyball, kids activities, live music, and other surprises. After breakfast is served the next morning, you’ll be on your way to the next adventure. Lunch is on your own, and there are many options available in the small towns the tour passes through. Give yourself extra time to explore local parks or landmarks!
Bring swimwear! Many sites offer a pool for relaxing, and sometimes there are parks with beaches along the route.
