Steam Railroading Institute PRESENTS- History of the Famous No.1225 Pere Marquette Steam Locomotive & it’s role in the movie “The Polar Express”

Steam Railroading Institute is based in Owosso, Michigan. It is the home to the Pere Marquette 1225, that was used for the famous “The Polar Express” movie. The Steam Railroading Institute is mostly volunteers dedicated to educating the public about steam-era railroading in Michigan and the Great Lakes Region.
