In this four-week Cake Decorating 101 class, students will learn the tips, tricks, and techniques needed to create beautiful cakes. Class will take place on Thursdays October 19, 26, and November 2 & 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM .
Week 1
Students will learn cake baking, filling, stacking, how to successfully make the frosting, and take-home recipes for homework.
Week 2
Students will learn how to frost and smooth a cake like a professional, prepare piping bags and use them, color frosting, and practice basic piping techniques.
Week 3
Students will build upon their skills from Weeks 1 and 2, and expand on basic piping techniques to create buttercream roses, grass, a basket weave pattern, and more.
Week 4
Students will put their newly mastered skills to the test by decorating their own "drip" cake!
Students must provide their own supplies for this class and home baking will be required.
